I wanted to start off this short chapter with a series of photos and videos that will serve as inspirations to my own short film production. This first entry is a virtual concert and interview of an uprising artist group known as "Paris Texas," who after performing a collection of songs from their newly released album "Mid-Air," was interviewed directly from Vince Staples afterwards. I was inspired from this video because I enjoy the intimacy brought from hosting a private concert before hearing directly how they felt writing the songs afterwards. You see this sorta done on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show but it's nowhere near as direct in regards to the interview. I even appreciate the production creating a set that highlights the theme "Live From Mars," and the thought provoking question generated from Vince Staples afterwards. I enjoy how he skips the facade of most interview based questions and really causes the artists to dig deep on their responses. For my production, I would like to cast someone to interview me similarly on the degree or assume the role of the artist and interviewer in order to generate some really good responses.
