Here are the character archetypes for the featured cast of my film. While developing this story, keeping the cast to a minimum allowed me to focus on creating a very interesting concept further enhanced through their interactions throughout the film.
Character Archetypes:
Dr. Nathan Lou (34) is a seasoned psychiatrist and an alumnus of the college Mr. Reaves attends. He is currently filming a series titled "One Minute of Your Time," where he seeks to demonstrate how a single minute can be maximized by completing a series of tasks within one. While those unfamiliar with his work may confuse his behavior with him simply seeking to entertain his audience in a comedic way, he is, in fact, intentionally filming this series with the motive of testing his use of hypnosis through film. Dr. Lou resides in Washington, DC, and visits his old campus often to gain inspiration for new films he wishes to create. Nathan is a man of few words, and his appearance or presence can sometimes be intimidating to those unfamiliar with him. Outside of research, his hobbies include cooking, reading, and listening to classical music. He thinks highly of Doug and respects his work as a filmmaker.

Doug Reaves (24) is Lou’s hired cameraman and film editor who enjoys doing freelance projects in between his downtime as a film student. He was born and raised in Maryland and seeks to become a filmmaker once he graduates. While on campus screening another film, he met his client, Dr. Lou. While he still agreed to assist as the cameraman for his short series, he doesn’t understand why using a timer is essential to Dr. Lou. Doug is naturally introverted. He spends most of his time to himself outside of school and enjoys writing stories. He finds Dr. Lou to be the most interesting client he's had so far as a videographer and shows genuine interest in the subject of this project. He also holds a good amount of respect for Dr. Lou's promptness and professionalism.
