The Senior Showcase Research: The Planning Phase!

Alright! The Planning Phase has begun, and with this phase, we must start to create our theme and concept, conduct research on the topic, plan out how this film will be executed, the budget, and so on.

Since my initial post, I've added many developments to my film's vision and how it will be executed.

First off, the theme of the film will revolve around time, and the genre will essentially be psychological horror. This is due to the subject of hypnotism being explored and the effect it has on those affected for long durations of time. Likewise, it will examine the connections between Doug Reeves and Dr. Lou, whose relationship changes toward the later points of the film.

The film will be shot in about two or at least three locations. The first is the main gym or theater room utilized in the story to create the movie. The second will be an on-campus school dorm used for intimate shots of my characters expressing their thoughts before transitioning to the next day.

The budget is still in the air, but hopefully, I can alleviate costs by collaborating with the various departments. For now, I've set my budget to around $250 - 500 I may need ($0.00 would be great, but we'll see).

My next post will go more in-depth about the various shot locations I've been scouting for the film.

Cheers!
